Meet sarah ruff gibson

Meet Sarah Ruff Gibson, MBA, COA, CDA, owner of Sarah Ruff Gibson Training & Consulting. A native of Central Maine, Sarah attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned her MBS with a concentration in marketing from the Wharton-AAO Mastering the Business of Orthodontics Program and went on to graduate summa cum laude from Southern New Hampshire University’s MBA program.

A certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and a Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA), Sarah worked for fifteen years as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator for several locations of an orthodontic practice, the Head Dental Assistant for a busy cosmetic practice in Massachusetts and the Head Assistant for a periodontist. She also has experience working for an oral surgeon. Additionally, Sarah has maintained her radiology license for over 20 years.

Sarah fell in love with dentistry and orthodontics when she began working for her father, Dr. Charles J. Ruff, DMD, who was an orthodontist himself in central Maine. His love of orthodontics influenced Sarah to focus on dentistry and orthodontics in SRG Training & Consulting. When it comes to her business, she cherishes the relationships she makes, and she looks forward to building new relationships in the future.

Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and her family: her husband, John, and her three stepchildren, Campbell, Rianne and Jack. She also enjoys hiking with her fur babies: Sadie, a red standard poodle, and Bella, a standard bernedoodle. She is a foodie and loves cooking and baking. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach or the lake, downhill skiing, golfing and learning to play pickleball with her husband. After moving back to Maine in 2009, Sarah has now lived in Maine for 15 years. She loves living only an hour from different landscapes, including the coast, the mountains and the city.
